Short form generative art

These works are generated using code with various algorithms that made use of pseudo-randomness to generate varied results. My article, ‘What is Generative Art?’ goes in to depth on the artform and my attitudes towards it.

Each individual line is so low opacity it would be almost invisible on its own but, when thousands of similar lines are laid next to one another, delicate shapes emerge.

Travelling Connectors

These kinetic systems build on my exploration of constellations and are made of nodes and connections. Various rules govern the nodes' movement and their choice to form a connection. The rules themselves are 'simple' but complex behaviour emerges - geometric shapes that look designed but are, in fact, unpredictable.
