When in Dome (2018)

When in Dome is an interactive, immersive installation taking place inside a geodesic dome filled with thousands of lights. The walls of the dome glow with shimmering trails which respond to the movement of people inside.

As an interface for multi-user interaction, the dome is somewhere people can share an experience.

The dome contains 4378 addressable LEDs and is driven by Processing and Fadecandy. Movement is tracked using a Kinect.

A full technical overview and description of the build is available on Instructables.

There is also a website dedicated to the dome here.
